These are larger - around 4 lb squash, very meaty inside.
Sweet Kabocha - unparalleled eating quality and extra long storage. This is a very tasty squash, does not need anything added to it. It is known to be dry and flaky allowing it to absorb flavors making it ideal for absorbing glazes or using in sauces and soups.
Roasting Tip: Put whole squash in 350 degre oven for 20 minutes. Take it out and cut off top and scoop out seeds. Put back in and roast until done. This method softens the squash and makes it much easier to cut and get the seeds out.
